GOCC heads ordered to submit courtesy resignation

MANILA, Philippines — The heads of government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs) have been ordered by the Governance Commission for GOCCs (GCG) to submit their courtesy resignation.
This development came more than a week since President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ordered all Cabinet members to tender their courtesy resignation as part of a revamp of his administration.
Based on a GCG notice dated May 28, the following officials were required to submit their courtesy resignation:
Non Ex-Officio Chairpersons – shall be addressed to the President and submitted through the Office of the Executive Secretary
Chief Executive Officers – shall be addressed to the President and submitted through the Office of the Executive Secretary
Appointive Directors, Trustees, and Members of GOCC Governing Boards – shall be submitted directly to the Governance Commission instead of the Office of the Executive Secretary. The courtesy resignation letter shall be addressed to the President.
