CharityPhilippines.org donates TVs to daycare centers in need
CharityPhilippines.org hopes to bridge resource gaps and enhance learning environment.
MANILA, Philippines — CharityPhilippines.org (CPO), the first charitable crowdfunding platform in the Philippines, has launched a TV donation project which will help bridge resource gaps and enhance learning environments in low-income communities.
It has delivered a TV to a daycare center in Daraitan, Tanay, Rizal, and two TVs in Barangay Dela Paz, Binan, Laguna in response to the need for more learning materials in public daycare centers.
Government-run daycare centers in the Philippines, officially known as child development centers, provide early childhood care and education for children aged 3 to 5. These centers, overseen by local government units (LGUs) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development, aim to support children’s early development, especially in low-income communities.

However, many daycare centers, especially in rural areas, face challenges such as:
- Limited facilities – Many lack proper classrooms, sanitation facilities, and play areas. Some operate in cramped spaces or multipurpose barangay halls.
- Shortage of learning materials – Books, toys, and educational tools are often outdated or insufficient.
- Underpaid and overworked teachers – Daycare workers receive low allowances and limited training opportunities.
- Inconsistent funding – Budgets depend on LGU priorities.
A TV in a daycare center provides an engaging and interactive way to support early childhood learning. Visual materials can help teachers introduce basic concepts such as numbers, letters, and social skills in a fun and engaging manner.
TVs can also be used for teacher training, helping child development workers learn new teaching strategies. By enriching classroom instruction and making learning more enjoyable, a donated TV can greatly improve the educational experience in resource-limited daycare centers.
CharityPhilippines.Org (CPO) is accepting donations of new or used TVs in good condition. Donations may be dropped off at Unit 204, Vivaldi Condominium, 628 EDSA, Cubao, Quezon City. For inquiries, please call 632 8280 9773 or email [email protected].
