The rest of Visayas and Mindanao will experience relatively fair weather with high chances of isolated rain showers in the afternoon and evening.
Due to the prevailing easterlies, hot and humid conditions are expected to persist over Luzon. Residents should still prepare for possible thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.
Looming southwest monsoon
Badrina said the effects of the southwest monsoon—locally known as the habagat—may begin to be felt in parts of the country in the coming days or weeks.
“We can expect that in the coming days or next week, thunderstorms will become more frequent in the afternoon and evening,” he added.
