National Security Adviser Eduardo Año to submit courtesy resignation

Eduardo Año (Senate Public Relations and Information Bureau)
MANILA, Philippines — National Security Adviser Eduardo Año said on Thursday that he would submit his courtesy resignation to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Año’s pronouncement came after Marcos called for the courtesy resignations of all Cabinet secretaries to recalibrate his administration.
“I will submit it today,” Año told reporters in a message when asked about his reaction to Marcos’ call.
Marcos explained that resetting the Cabinet would give him the space to evaluate each department’s performance and determine who will remain in line with his administration’s recalibrated priorities.
“It’s time to realign government with the people’s expectations,” the president added./mcm
