MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Tuesday destroyed over P5.32 billion worth of drugs that were seized in various operations.

Part of the destroyed contraband was the 405 kilograms of suspected “shabu” confiscated at the Port of Manila on Jan. 23. PDEA Director General Undersecretary Isagani Nerez said the destruction of the drugs would end public speculation about these being recycled or resold in the streets.
