Marcos: Gov’t won’t tolerate disrespect of PH sovereignty
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Tuesday reiterated that the government will “never tolerate any act of disrespect” against the country’s sovereignty.
He made this statement during his speech at the Philippine Navy’s 127th founding anniversary celebration, held under the theme: “Philippine Navy: Addressing Challenges, Promoting Regional Stability, and Strengthening Maritime Security.”
3 Chinese research ships monitored in PH waters in 3 weeks
Three Chinese research vessels were monitored within the Philippines’ exclusive economic zone (EEZ) over the past three weeks, according to the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).
PCG spokesperson for the West Philippine Sea (WPS) Commodore Jay Tarriela said that they are continuing to monitor the remaining two Chinese research vessels after one of them left the EEZ and returned to Guangdong province on Tuesday morning.

SC partially lifts TRO vs MMDA’s no-contact apprehension program
The Supreme Court (SC) has partially lifted the restraining order it issued against the implementation of the no-contact apprehension program (NCAP) of the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA).
However, the restraining orders for local government unit ordinances on NCAP stays, SC Spokesperson Atty. Camille Sue Mae Ting said in a press conference.
Comelec to resolve Duterte Youth, BH cases before June 30 – Garcia
The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Tuesday vowed to resolve the pending cases, particularly those against Duterte Youth and Bagong Henerasyon (BH) party-list groups before June 30 or prior to the start of the term of office of elected officials.
On Monday, the Comelec, sitting as the National Board of Canvassers, suspended the proclamation of Duterte Youth and BH party-list over pending cases.
Panelo: Roque appears to be a Pogo lawyer
Former presidential legal counsel Salvador Panelo believes that his colleague from the Duterte administration, former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque, is not a victim of political persecution, as it appears that Roque acted as a lawyer for a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (Pogo) hub.
During an interview with OneNews, Panelo was asked about the arrest order issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 118 in Angeles City, Pampanga, against Roque for human trafficking. This is related to the Lucky South 99 POGO hub, which authorities raided in June 2024.
