The ship has advanced sensors and weapon systems and is designed for long-range, multi-role combat operations. Measuring 118 meters long, the vessel arrived from South Korea on April 4.
BRP Albert Majini, on the other hand, is the first locally assembled missile-capable patrol vessel in the Philippines. It was named after Medal of Valor awardee Ensign Albert Majini PN.
The vessel was built for rapid interdiction and coastal operations under the PN’s Littoral Combat Force./mcm
