MANILA, Philippines — Twenty-two monitoring areas in the country are expected to log heat indices under the “danger” level on Wednesday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
A heat index that falls between 42 and 51°C is considered dangerous and could cause heat cramps and exhaustion. Continuous exposure to this temperature could lead to heat stroke.
