Shabu worth ₱374,000 seized from ‘high-value’ suspect in Angeles City

ANGELES CITY — Police arrested a suspected drug trader who allegedly yielded around ₱374,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) during a buy-bust operation early Saturday, May 3, in this city.
In a statement, city police said the suspect, identified as “Batal,” was arrested around midnight in Ninoy Aquino Village after allegedly selling a sachet of shabu to an undercover officer.
Authorities said Batal is a high-value individual in the government’s anti-drug campaign. A total of 59.5 grams of shabu was recovered from his possession.
In a separate operation about an hour later, police arrested another suspect, identified as “Argel,” in Pandan village. He allegedly sold shabu to a poseur-buyer.
Officers confiscated about ₱30,600 worth of shabu from Argel, whom authorities identified as a street-level pusher.
Both suspects are facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
