Sara Duterte urges Boholanos to keep fiesta traditions alive

Vice President Sara Duterte has urged Boholanos to continue the tradition of celebrating fiestas to strengthen family bonds

TAGBILARAN CITY – Vice President Sara Duterte has urged Boholanos to continue the tradition of celebrating fiestas to strengthen family bonds.

“Duol kaayo akong kasingkasing sa Bohol. Sauna pa ko nakadungog bahin magfiesta ang Bohol. (Bohol is very close to my heart. I have heard about how Bohol celebrates fiestas),” said Duterte during the rally of “One Bohol for Good Governance” at the Cogon gymnasium in Tagbilaran City on Monday, April 28.

“Mounlod kuno ang Bohol basta mag-fiesta. Gusto nako maexperience kung unsa mag fiesta ang Bohol kay abri ang mga balay kung kinsa gusto mukaon,” she said.

The fiesta of Bohol’s capital city of Tagbilaran on May 1 starts the opening salvo of fiesta where in every sitios, barangays (village), and towns are celebrating the merry month of fiestas in Bohol province.

During the event, Duterte campaigned for the senatorial candidates of PDP.

She raised the hands of gubernatorial candidate Dan Neri Lim and his slate who were endorsed by One Bohol, a movement supporting former President Rodrigo Duterte and Vice President Duterte.

She also endorsed the slate of Valencia mayoral candidate Katkat Lim and Pilar mayoral candidate Francisco Augis and his slate.

After Tagbilaran, Duterte proceeded to Inabanga town for another rally where she endorsed reelectionist Mayor Jono Jumamoy and his slate.

When Malacanang said they did not plan to overthrow the Dutertes, she said they should ask the people.

“Ang mga tao nalang ang pasagutin nila. Nakikita na nila ngayon kung ano kagalit ang mga tao sa ginawa nila. Unang una sa akin sa impeachment, at sa pagkidnap kay President Duterte,” she said.
